Pique, Peek or Peak?
Never mind illiterate journalists reporting that someone said "Here, here" in support of a speaker when they actually said "Hear, hear!" meaning "Listen, for heaven's sake!" what else drives you bananas?
Currently exercising friends of mine is the apparent inability to distinguish "pique" from "peek" and "peak."

Well, I could go on and on, and often do, but...the pettest of all my peeves is how on earth so many of my fellow Americans came to believe that the plural in English is formed by adding apostrophe s. Thank, my dear friend's, is one of the thing's that really drives me banana's. Or sometimes even drive's me banana's!!!

Of course I meant 'that', not 'thank', but that was just a misteak ;-)
